About Me and My Approach to Learning:
Passionate about empowering students, I bring many years of teaching experience and expertise. With a background in both state and independent sectors, my unique teaching style is influenced by my interactive learning, adapted for any student. I believe in personalised learning to help students reach their full potential and advocate that unless a student is happy within their studies, confident and feeling supported, they will not learn. I am dedicated to providing specialised support tailored to each student's needs, ensuring a nurturing and effective learning environment, championing their right to grow in confidence and thrive in their studies. I want to empower learners with personalised support. Specialising in Dyslexia and Neurodiverse learning needs, I offer tailored sessions that build confidence, deepen understanding, and help every student grow at their own pace. My approach is warm, adaptive, and rooted in the belief that every child deserves to feel capable, seen, and supported.
Where I Teach:
I offer both online and face‑to‑face tutoring, giving families the flexibility to choose what works best for them.
In person, I teach from my classroom in beautiful Saunton, North Devon. Set within an acre of garden overlooking Braunton Burrows, the space is calm, inspiring, and designed to help learners feel at ease. Depending on the learning and weather, we can use the classroom or outside space, which are fully resourced with hands‑on materials, visual supports, and interactive tools that bring learning to life. It’s a nurturing environment where students can explore, practise, and grow with confidence.
Online, I teach through Microsoft Teams for Education, using the full suite of interactive tools to create engaging, structured lessons. During the COVID period, I taught a full online timetable across all subjects, gaining extensive experience in delivering high‑quality, accessible remote learning. My online sessions are dynamic, visual, and carefully scaffolded to support focus and confidence.
Whether online or face‑to‑face, my goal is the same: to empower learners with personalised support, celebrate their strengths, and help them thrive academically and emotionally.
